K. Byrne

Having won “most combative” rider in a classic race last season, K. Byrne's contract was renewed by Brussels Unchained for the 2023 season. Her experience will help to ensure continuity with a squad that is composed of many new fresh elements. Many will be looking to see whether her determination can help the team achieve even greater success compared to the previous year.

Byrne swapped horse riding in her native Dublin mountains for cycling cobbled climbs in Belgium. She’s not shy of pushing her limits, especially when she has “made the calculation” in the words of compatriot Sean Kelly. A foodie true and true, her teammates describe her as “never not eating” while on the bike.
