J. Pres has been passionate about sports from an early age, trying his hand at everything from football and rugby to cricket and triathlon—though the bike leg was always his strong suit. After university, he returned to cycling to regain his fitness, and his love for the sport quickly reignited. What started as casual riding soon turned into an obsession, leading him to invest in his first carbon bike and take on bigger challenges.

After several years of riding and pushing his limits in sportives, Pres sought a new test of endurance. In 2023, he took on the grueling 315km Vätternrundan ride in Sweden, completing it in under 10 hours. This achievement fueled his hunger for even greater challenges, leading him to join the Mannekes in 2024. As a rouleur, he thrives at the front of the pack, setting a hypnotic tempo and delivering powerful lead-outs for the team’s sprinter.

This year, Pres is focused on elevating his fitness, becoming more competitive, and playing a role in helping the team retain the Green Jersey. Personally, he has his sights set on a long-awaited bikepacking adventure and conquering the Flandrien Challenge.

For Pres, cycling isn’t just a sport—it’s a journey. A test of willpower, endurance, and the relentless pursuit of progress. Because on the bike, every pedal stroke is a step toward something greater.
