P. Amaral

Joining the Stoefers continental team for his inaugural debut, the race biking bug bit P. Amaral in 2018. Looking for a personal challenge, he signed up to the BXL Tour that year. Thinking his commuter bike wouldn't cut it, he bought a used road bike on eBay. Turns out he got lucky with a purchase of a nice 90s Pinarello. Amaral did the tour and realised he loved road cycling.

Amaral has evolved to become a rider that can push hard for a while. When he cycles in a group or in an event, he can often lead a pack for a distance at a good speed. Amaral is someone who gets joy from being well prepared and giving something a good effort, win or lose. Amaral loves the feeling of going fast, making his body work and succeed at things that come with practice, especially as he nears his mid 40s.
